Rapid Socio-Economic & Hydrological Assessment of the Prey Lang Forest

Project Location: Prey Lang, Cambodia
Client: USAID – Cambodia MSME Project

AE worked with the USAID-funded Cambodia Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Project (MSME) team to provide a report assessing the hydrological impacts of development of the Prey Lang forest; a key area of forest in northern central Cambodia located between the Mekong River and the Tonle Sap Lake. The objective of the study was to assess the socio-economic and hydrologic value of the Prey Lang forest landscape. The outcome of the project was a sustainable decision matrix to help policy makers and stakeholders evaluate socio-economic and environmental aspects of future development projects.
