Civil / Water

AE provides design, implementation and maintenance of water supply, waste water and agriculture irrigation systems in the most socially, ecologically and cost effective way possible. AE has highly qualified environmental scientists, engineers and planners with specialized skills in all facets of environmental and hydrological engineering.

In some areas, the artificial application of water to land and/or the artificial removal of excess water from land are required for agricultural or large industrial sites. In these situations, AE can provide the design of irrigation or drainage systems to increase agricultural production.

AE can provide engineering services for water supply requirement, whether it is for drinking water or irrigation. AE provides water resources and hydrological studies. For instance, the amount of water available can be assessed in any given area. AE can also support the client to select the best solution for water harvesting and storage, and follow-up with the design and construction management of the chosen infrastructure. Specific project examples include:

The UN has estimated that close to 800 million people are still without access to safe water. AE works with Aid Agencies and local NGO’s to provide technically and culturally appropriate design solutions for water supply.
According to the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Program for Water Supply and Sanitation, 36% per cent of the world’s population – 2.5 billion people – lack improved sanitation facilities. AE has experience working with NGO’s to provide design solutions for addressing this lack of sanitation facilities.Project examples include:
