KKYC Building Inspections
Kouk Khleang Youth Center

AE was hired to perform independent construction site inspections for Komitu Architects during the construction of the Kouk Khleang Youth Center. The youth center is planned together with and will be operated by two Cambodian organizations Cambodian Volunteers for Society (CVS) and Khmer Kampuchea Krom for Human Rights and Development Association (KKKHRDA). The Finnish Architects designed the youth center to use low carbon materials, such as structural bamboo, compressed earth blocks and recycled plastic bottles as well as ecological building solutions such as rainwater harvesting.
AE’s scope of work included weekly site inspections, preparation of inspection reports including photos, lists of construction defects and recommendation for corrective actions.
